Coonrod & Associates Construction Co. Inc. - 3550 S. Hoover, Wichita, KS
This facility houses the corporate offices for Coonrod & Associates Construction Co.  Architect David Haines designed this building, which demonstrates the compatibility of pre-engineered steel structures and masonry.  The interior work was performed by Coonrod's own people and is in it's own right, immaculate. Featured Project: Envision - 2301 S. Water, Wichita, KS 67213

This landmark project is a 78,260 sq. ft. office and manufacturing facility where people who are visually impaired are trained and employed. The original building was completed in March 2000, but because of Envisions rapid growth, we have been continually expanding and modifying the facility.

This project was designed by Paul Cavanaugh with "Places Architects" and features a 200 ft. long x 20 ft. high curved concrete wall that cuts through the building. The exterior walls are a flat, embossed, pre-insulated metal panel installed with concealed fasteners and the roof is a VP Building, 24 GA, standing seam roof in a galvalume finish.

This project has won several design awards including VP Buildings "Hall of Fame", the local Kansas System Builders Association's 2000 "Building of the Year" - First Award for Industrial/Manufacturing and the national Systems Builders Associations 1999 "Building of the Year".
